Finance, Audit & Risk Committee Appointed

Lacrosse Australia (LA) has finalised the appointment of members to our Finance, Audit and Risk (FAR) Committee. The formation of the FAR Committee was an outcome of a governance review conducted by the LA Board to strengthen our governance structures and processes and to reach the highest bench mark set out by Sport Australia’s governance standards.

The FAR Committee will assists the LA Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities relating to the:

  • Preparation and integrity of the Lacrosse Australia’s (LA) financial accounts and statements

  • Qualifications, independence, engagement, fees and performance of the LA’s External Auditor

  • External Auditor’s annual audit of LA’s financial statements

  • LA’s compliance with legal, regulatory requirements and compliance policies.

  • Internal controls, policies and procedures that LA uses to identify and manage business risks

Following nomination and an interview process the LA is excited to announce the Members of the FAR Committee:

  • Michaela Humphries - Certified Public Accountant (CPA), currently the Director of Finance, Strategy and Performance for a NSW Public Hospital.

  • Colin Braithwaite - Qualified auditor and investigator. 40 year career in commonwealth customs as an investigator and as a intelligence analyst with the Tax Office.

  • Natasha Bronkhorst - An Analyst at ASIC , has been a Corporate Tax Consultant and has served on the Board for QLA.

  • Cam Vale - CPA, was the CEO of Baseball and Hockey Australia, and was previously the COO for North Melbourne FC.

LA is thrilled of the level of experience, skills and knowledge all members bring to the Committee and we are extremely grateful to all FAR Committee members for their service, time and commitment to lacrosse.
