Adrian Burns Joins the Lacrosse Australia Board

We are thrilled to announce that the Lacrosse Australia (LA) Board has appointed Adrian Burns to the casual vacancy Director position. Adrian brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and drive to the LA Board from his many years and roles within Lacrosse , both in Australia and overseas, as a player, official, coach and administrator.

Adrian was a founder member of the British Association of Sports Scientists and started work as a personal trainer. When Adrian arrived in Australia he held positions working with the AFL, Geelong City and the Geelong Cats. He then began his career working in Local Government, where after a 35 year career in sports, recreation, major events and open space management, he is now a Director of Community Sustainability in Queensland. Adrian is also Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Within Australian Lacrosse, Adrian was the ALRA Vic President for three years and took part in an ASPACS and a European Championships as well as a number of Senior Men's Nationals, U18 and U15 competitions. Adrian has also been involved in the Women's MNTC and is now on the Men's MNTC as the Indoor Referee in Chief.  In 2015 Adrian managed the 2015 World Indoor Championship Australian team, an experience in the green blazer he describes as life changing and one of his most special lacrosse memories.
