Nikki Voysey - New SA Deputy Umpire in Charge

Lacrosse Australia (LA) takes great pleasure in announcing the appointment of Nikki Voysey to the role of South Australia Deputy Umpire in Charge (SA DUIC).

The SA DUIC position on the Lacrosse Australia Women’s National Technical Committee (WNTC) supports and assists the role of the South Australian Umpire in Charge (Natalie Owens) in the allocation, training, coaching, evaluation, and recruitment of Women’s Lacrosse Officials in South Australia and at National events run by Lacrosse Australia.

Nikki will serve on the WNTC and hold the SA DUIC position until it is due for reappointment on 31st October 2022. Whereupon she will be welcome to reapply for the position for a further 2-year term of appointment.

Nikki holds the National Accreditation as a Women's Lacrosse Umpire in Australia.

She has been involved with Lacrosse from a young age as a player before becoming an umpire in 1990. Nikki continued to umpire until she took a break to raise her daughters. In 2013 she returned as a Club umpire to support the junior competition and then attended the Under 15 National Tournament held in Adelaide in 2016 where she gained her State Accreditation. Nikki umpired the same tournament in Perth the following year to maintain her accreditation.

In 2019 Nikki attended the Under 18 National Championships in Perth where she received her National Accreditation. Also, in 2019 she participated in the ALA Under 15 National Tournament held in Adelaide as an assessor which allowed her to learn the Off-Field Officiating Coaching side of umpiring which she continues to perform with Green shirt umpires to support them in obtaining club accreditation.

Lacrosse Australia welcomes Nikki and looks forward to her continuing contribution to the development of Women’s Lacrosse officiating at all levels in Australia.
