LA Welcomes new Sport Administrator, Amanda Plummer

Lacrosse Australia (LA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Plummer as Lacrosse Australia’s Sports Administrator.

The Sports Administrator position has been formed following the departure of Kade Robinson, the Quick Stix Coordinator in early 2021, and following a review of LA business and staffing requirements. Amanda will now provide the required support within our Growth business area while also providing wider support for other growing areas of the business. The Sport Administrator will provide support and assistance within Sporting Schools & Invade/club Connect programs, financial operations, LA events, high performance programs, general administration and reporting requirements.

Amanda joins Lacrosse Australia with a wealth of lacrosse knowledge. Amanda has been heavily involved in lacrosse since she was introduced at young age through her parents. Amanda has since gone on to play at club, state and invitational international tournaments. On top of her playing involvement Amanda has also coached junior and senior levels and moved into development roles including a Development Officer role teaching lacrosse at Primary & Secondary schools and has been a Modcrosse programme and Development Director to increase participation numbers and strengthen her local club.

Amanda is passionate about growing the game and upholding and improving the integrity and culture within our sport. Amanda has been on the Junior Lacrosse Council (LWA) since 2011 to advocate for improvements on the ground and support the sport’s growth and was involved in the creation of the WA Junior Officiating Program to create more involvement and awareness in officiating. In 2015 Amanda joined the National Growth Advisory Council to help support the initial creation of the “Quick Stix” program to provide an introductory program to the sport of lacrosse.

Lacrosse Australia is very excited to have Amanda join our organisation following a extensive selection process and looking forward to seeing her positively impact all areas of our business. Welcome to the team Amanda!
