Australia finishes 4th at World Championship

2024 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship, San Diego CAL USA.

The Australian Men’s Team earned a credible 4th place finish at the World Championship after going down 11 - 6 in the Bronze Medal game to the Haudenosaunee. Earlier games included a Semi Final loss to USA 11 - 2, a Quarter Final victory over England 10 - 5, and a Playoff victory over the Netherlands 18 - 7. Pool Play results included a loss to the Haudenosaunee 10 - 6, a loss to Canada 10 - 3, a loss the USA 12 - 3, after an opening game victory over England 8 - 4. Head Coach Glenn Meredith said, “I am extremely proud of this team and what we have achieved over the past 2 weeks, our staff and players have been magnificent in their devotion to the program and task at hand. To remain top 4 in the world in 2023 with competition at a ferocious level, is an outstanding result for this team".
