LA Officiating Policies & National Technical Committees
Lacrosse Australia has appointed a Men’s and Women’s National Technical Committee (M/WNTC).
The role of the MNTC and the WNTC is to provide administrative leadership for Men's and Women's Lacrosse officials nationally and internationally. The MNTC and the WNTC administer officiating standards in Rules and On-field Mechanics through the provision of training, coaching, selection and assessment for LA events, and jurisdictional support to the LA Member Associations.
LA has a number of policies relating to officiating providing a framework with embedded, clear and outlined processes, procedures, requirements to manage all aspects of officiating including Accreditation, Appointments, Support attendance at national events, development and training.

Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) Courses
Depending on your level of officiating some officials may be required to complete SIA training including:
Anti-Doping Fundamentals online course
Annual Update online course
This is required is attending LA National Events.

Sport Australia Community Officiating
The course is aimed at first time and beginner officials (e.g. parents). The course contains three modules and will take approximately three hours to complete.

Club Referee Manual
Game Day - Club Referee Manual draws information from the World Lacrosse's Men's Field Officials Manual, which focuses on the international standard of three on-field Referees, and the Georgia Lacrosse Officials Associations' Game Day Manual, with the view to providing club referees a resource to further their knowledge and understanding of officiating a game of lacrosse.
The manual has been in development for a number of years and the Men's National Technical Committee and it now forms a knowledge base for the Level One Referee accreditation program.
More information about the Level One accreditation can be obtained from your local Official's group or State Chief Referee.

Sport Australia Concussion Management
This course provides information for coaches and support staff to help recognise the symptoms of concussion and understand the best process for treatment and ongoing management of concussion.

Play by the Rules
PBTR offers free courses on some of the most important topics in sport, including: child protection, harassment and discrimination and complaint handling. We also offer free online training for Member Protection Information Officers (MPIOs).
