Women’s Box Lacrosse Survey
Lacrosse Australia is calling for female players to complete the Women’s Box Lacrosse survey.
Survey will close on the 18/11/2021
The survey will explore details regarding the motivation, barriers and demand for Women’s Box Lacrosse in Australia. Even if individuals are not interested in playing Women’s Box Lacrosse, we ask you to indicate this on the survey.
In September 2020 World Lacrosse formed the Women’s Box Lacrosse Working Group (WBLWG) to investigate the prospects for developing a competitive pathway for the discipline of Women’s Box Lacrosse. At the latest World Lacrosse (WL) General Assembly, National Governing Bodies (NGB) endorse the inclusion of a Women’s Box Event to be held in 2024. Now that an International Event is confirmed WL and NGBs are working to gather further information regarding advancing opportunities for women lacrosse athletes, the level of resources available and required, the pathway of club and state level competitions and the level of demand and interest in the discipline.
It is anticipated that WL WBLWG will hold further discussions with NGBs in late 2021 regarding further developing the Women’s Box discipline regarding rules, event structure, NGB commitment and interest.
