Member Survey - Participation & Engagement Strategy

Lacrosse Australia (LA), through support from Sport Australia’s Capability Building grant program, is currently undertaking a research project to help guide the development of a “whole of sport” plan designed to grow Lacrosse membership and participation across the country in a coordinated and efficient way.

Through Sport Australia’s funding the LA has engaged McLaughlin Sports Consultancy to assist in the development of the Lacrosse in Australia Participation and Engagement Strategy 2022-2024.

LA is inviting and encouraging lacrosse stakeholders: players, parents, coaches, officials, administrators and other volunteers/members (current or recently non-returning), to provide input into the development of the strategy and plan via the completion of this short e-Survey.

The survey should take between 5-15 minutes to complete (depending on the member’s level of involvement in Lacrosse), and the survey will be open and available until COB Wednesday 22nd September 2021.

The survey is the first element of our consultation phase for the project. Following the completion and review of results, LA in conjunction with McLaughlin Sports Consultancy will conduct 3 more consultation elements including:

  1. up to 30 interviews with identified stakeholders ranging from players, parents officials, coaches and administrators from all levels of lacrosse and geographical locations.

  2. Following the interview, we will be holding a focus group webinar with Member Association’s invited representatives, and,

  3. The final and fourth consultation element will be a 1 day meeting with LA, MA and other key stakeholders to further discuss the findings, themes and opportunities from the consultation phase.
