New Positions - ALA Officiating National Technical Committee

The management of Lacrosse officiating in Australia is the responsibility of the Australian Lacrosse Association (ALA) Officiating National Technical Committees, the Men's National Technical Committee (MNTC) and the Women's National Technical Committee (WNTC), under the Officiating Portfolio of the ALA.

The role of the MNTC and the WNTC is to provide administrative leadership of Australian Lacrosse officials for all Lacrosse disciplines nationally and internationally.

The MNTC and the WNTC administer officiating standards in Rules and Mechanics through the provision of training, coaching, selection and assessment for ALA events, and jurisdictional support to the ALA Member Associations.

The ALA has decided to expand the membership of the National Technical Committees to include a Chief Referee for the Box Lacrosse discipline and a Chief Official for the new Lacrosse Sixes discipline.

Therefore, the ALA asks for interested people from the Australian Lacrosse community to apply for the following positions. (select link to open position application form)

At the end of the respective terms, the successful applicants will be welcome to reapply for a further two-year term

Applications are open to all interested and experienced lacrosse officials in Australia, also to existing members of the National Technical Committees, willing to provide guidance and leadership for the officiating of these two disciplines.

Applications from non-current position holders should include statements addressing their Experience and Qualification for the role against the Essential and the Desirable Criteria for the positions.

The Position Description documents for the officiating leadership positions containing these criteria are accessible from the hyperlinks below.

Closing Date for Applications is Monday 22nd February, at 5:00 pm CDST.

Appointments will be announced by Monday 1st March 2021.
