2020 ALA Talent Coach Course

The ALA is excited to announce that the Talent Coach Course will be held in Perth on the 14th and 15th of March.

The course, which covers 9 modules, will be presented by:

  • TJ Buchanan – World Lacrosse, Director of Sport Development
  • Glenn Stewart – West Coast Eagles, High Performance Manager
  • Jordan Stares – West Coast Eagles, Strength & Conditioning Coach
  • Glenn Morley – ALA Coaching Director

The course is designed to provide education for coaches working in the Talent Phase of the ALA Participation Framework.

Coaches wanting to attend the course are required to register for the course through the ALA Education Platform.

The face to face workshop held on the 14th and 15th of March will be theory and practical based. Exact time and location will be provided to coaches who submit an EOI or register for the course.

TJ is the Director of Sport Development at World Lacrosse and brings a suite of knowledge and experience in the design and delivery of educational resources for athletes and coaches. TJ also held leadership positions in athlete and coach development with U.S. Lacrosse.

As High Performance Manager of the West Coast Eagles for over 20 years, he has played an integral role in their 4 Premierships and 20 years of finals appearances. In addition, he has coached athletes to the Olympic and Commonwealth Games and World Cup and led reviews

Jordan Stares, is a strength and conditioning at the West Coast Eagles since 2016. Jordan has worked in the strengthening and conditioning field for many years across at various WA sporting organisations including Perth Demons, GolfWA, Western Australian Institute of Sport and West Coast Fever.
