Officiating National Technical Committee vacancies

ALA Officiating National Technical Committee Vacancies

The management of Lacrosse officiating in Australia is the responsibility of the Australian Lacrosse Association (ALA) Officiating National Technical Committees, the Men's National Technical Committee (MNTC) and the Women's National Technical Committee (WNTC), under the Officiating Portfolio of the ALA.

The role of the MNTC and the WNTC is to provide administrative leadership for Men's and Women's Lacrosse officials nationally and internationally.

The MNTC and the WNTC administer officiating standards in Rules and On-field Mechanics through the provision of training, coaching, selection and assessment for ALA events, and jurisdictional support to the ALA Member Associations.

The current two-year terms of the positions listed below will end on October 31st, 2019.

I, therefore, ask for interested people from the Australian Lacrosse community to apply for the following positions.

Women's National Technical Committee

Men's National Technical Committee

All Applications from non-current position holders should include statements addressing their Qualification for the role and the Essential and the Desirable Criteria for the positions.

The Position Description documents for the officiating leadership positions containing these criteria are accessible from the Officiating National Technical Committee Policies section of the Downloads page on the ALA Website, and from the hyperlinks below.

The successful appointees will assume their respective position responsibilities from the 1st November 2019, or from appointment.

Closing Date for Applications is Monday 7th October, at 5:00 pm CDST.

Appointments will be announced by Monday 28th October.

The tenure of the current ALA Referee in Chief and the State Chief Referee's (MNTC) and the State Deputy Umpire's In Charge (WNTC) continue until the end of October 2020.

If you have any questions regarding these positions, the MNTC or WNTC, or this appointment process, please email me in the first instance, or phone me if you have not received a response to your inquiry in a reasonable time frame.
