Sue Sofarnos named the Victorian 2014 Community Coach of the Year

Past Australian player and coach, Sue Sofarnos has been recognised as Victoria’s 2014 Community Coach of the Year at a prestigious awards ceremony held at Victoria’s spiritual home of sport, the MCG.

A leader in the Lacrosse community, Sue was presented the award by Victorian Minister for Sport and Recreation, Mr Damien Drum in recognition for her dedication to the sport at all levels.

In particular her commitment to providing opportunities for young girls to enjoy the game of Lacrosse and develop as people was highlighted.

In accepting the award, a clearly surprised Sue was quick to highlight to all assembled the wonderful journey that Lacrosse had taken her on and her goal to continue to assist in growing the game at all levels.

The Australian Lacrosse Association congratulates Sue on her magnificent achievement in receiving this prestigious and well deserved award.
