ALA Director of Marketing & Communications appointed
Andrew Harris, ALA Director of Marketing & Communications
ALA wishes to announce the appointment of Andrew Harris to the position of Director Marketing and Communications effective from July 1, 2014.
Andrew comes to this position with a long association with Lacrosse as a player, club administrator and LSA Board member. He also brings 18 years Sales and Marketing experience to this role. When asked what he sees as the priorities in this area, he replied:
“I see the two key priority areas are: to enhance and increase the communication between ALA, member associations and the lacrosse community through the use of social media platforms and technology. The second priority is to work with the Growth and Development initiatives to see a major increase in the participation rate of children in particular, being introduced to the game and playing it in a variety of formats. We have a great game, we just need to tell more people about it and to give it to them in a format that suits their needs.”
The upcoming World Lacrosse Championships is a perfect platform to launch the first priority, by encouraging the lacrosse community to access results and information on this event through the ALA website, Facebook and Twitter.
We look forward to Andrew’s contribution over the next two years.
