One hundred years ago World War I prevented the first lacrosse test between Australia and New Zealand taking place.

On Friday 25th April 2014, it was finally played when our Australian representative men's and women's teams took on the New Zealand men's and women's national teams in Auckland, honouring the ANZACs at a ground steeped in military history.

Unfortunately, the Australian sides lost in both encounters, however both countries believe this is the start of a fantastic tradition.

RESULTS

Men - Australia 6 lost to New Zealand 19

Women - Australia 0 lost to New Zealand 31
